1. Softlens
* My experience :
I currenlty use New Look Soft Lens that i bought at Melawai Optic, 14 mm diameter and can be used for 3 months. I used some kinds of softlen before i use this one. I don't dare to try any other softlen anymore since i finally find one that suitable for me, because my eyes was irritated once before and its really annoying. Thanks God i finally able to meet my softlen soulmate : D
* TIPS :
- Use softlen that has suitable diametter for your eyes
Try eye test at an optic to know what kind of softlen that will suitable for you ( the result will be about minus/ plus, diameter, curved of your eyes etc - ask the optician for more detail what information that you will get). After you know, choose one that has suitable for your eyes. I don't recommend to use softlen that the purpose is to make your eyes looks bigger if that were not suitable for you ( usually it has big diametter about > 16 mm). If your eyes is big, and this type of softlen is comfortable for you, that's okay to used. But if you're just use this for fashion even though its not comfortable, you will find it annoying after sometimes because it easily make your eyes irritated, feel dry and hurt.
I had experience with this kind of softlen, usually one that suitable for me has 14mm diametter, but that time i used 15/16 mm ( i forget the exact size, but it's more bigger than 14 mm, but the difference only 1 or 2 mm ). Even though the difference of size is very very little but it's still make my eyes feel more dryer, and easily become irritated T.T. I the end i only use that for about 1 month ( it supposed to be for 3 montsh) and put it at trash can. I do want to looked beautiful without glasses, but the healthiness of my eyes is important so i decide to go back with 14 mm softlen : )
- Always bring your eye drops
If you use softlen, it's normal if your eyes feel a little more dryer than usual. So, don't forgent to always bring your eye drops. If you feel your eyes start become dry and don't feel comfortable, just give it some drop. Usually you can use artificial tears like this for maximum 4-5 times/ day. Ask more recommendation of eye drops from doctor to make sure, because every person has different characteristic of eyes. I currently use Akon Natural Tears II that is recommended by my doctor ( after do some eye check, he recommend this for me) and its really really suitable and comfort my eyes : D
- CLEANLINESS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING
Always clean your softlen with special cleaning water for softlen ( buy it at optic) before you use it, and after you use it. It's very very important to maintain the cleanliness and higienity of your softlen ^^
- Use maximum 3 months expired softlen
Some fat and dirt will still stay at your softlen after you use it even though you clean it very well everyday ( even you use cleaning water, or pills that can clean you softlens - you can buy all of them at the optic). So, that's why after sometime it's not feel very comfortable anymore like the first time you use it.
I watched a TV program about healthiness and it said that maximum 3 months expired softlen is very recommended to guarantee the cleanliness of your softlen, and after that just use new one.
I tried this since a while ago and it's true ! I rarely get irritation anymore like before since i use 3 months expired softlen. And more over, my irritation that rarely come is not because the softlen, but because some of my eyes make up fall in my eyes and i rub my eye to make the make up out from inside my eyes, but as the effect i unintentionally also do some rubbing at the softlen >.<
- Prepare cute glasses for urgent time
When you get irritation, or your eyes feel tired after you spent whole night to finish your job, don't push your self to still use softlen, but use your beautiful glasses to let your eyes have time to rest : )
